Jooi Design was founded in Hong Kong in 1999 with the premises of exporting the designs to Europe. The company subsequently opened a design studio in Shanghai in 2002 to expand their design, production and retail operations. Jooi Design is owned and managed by Trine Targett who is both Danish and has a foundation of creating products with a Scandinavian aesthetics whilst infusing other cultural influences in her designs.
Jooi Design specializes in Fashion Accessory design and has expanded its product range to include a selection of Lifestyle and Home Decor products.
The team designs new products continuously for the Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter seasons, and keeps a select range of Jooi Design classics.
Within recent years, Jooi Design has increased their retail operations in Shanghai with several "shop in shops" and plans to set up more retail stores in the near future.
